About Us
D.A.G. Electric is a residential electrical company serving Brooklyn and the surrounding areas. We install, repair, upgrade, and troubleshoot the electrical systems in people’s homes, and that is the entire business. No commercial buildouts, no industrial contracts, no crews pulled off your job to go finish something bigger.
There is a reason for that. Residential electrical work is its own discipline. The wiring is older, the access is worse, the layouts are stranger, and there is a family living there while you work. Specializing in it means we are not learning any of that on your time.
More Than Thirty Years In
Thirty years of residential work in Brooklyn means we have opened up a lot of walls and found a lot of surprises. Knob and tube left in place behind a renovation. Three circuits sharing a neutral. A panel that was adequate when the house had one television and now runs a home office, two air conditioners, and an induction range.
That experience mostly shows up as diagnosis. Knowing where to look saves hours, and hours are what electrical work actually costs. It also means we know when a problem is bigger than it appears, and we would rather tell you that on day one than discover it halfway through.
What You Can Expect
- A Straight Explanation: We tell you what is actually wrong and what it will take to fix, without the jargon.
- A Price Before We Start: You approve the work and the cost up front. No surprises at the end.
- Respect for Your Home: Floors covered, dust controlled, work area cleaned up before we leave.
- Honest Prioritizing: If something can safely wait, we will tell you. If it genuinely cannot, we will tell you that too.
Hours That Work Around Yours
We are on the job from seven in the morning until ten at night Monday through Thursday and again on Sunday, with a shorter day on Friday and Saturdays off. For most homeowners that means an appointment that does not require taking time off work, which is often the hardest part of getting anything fixed.
