EV Charger Installation

Charging at home turns an electric vehicle from a logistics exercise into an appliance you plug in at night. D.A.G. Electric installs home charging equipment for Brooklyn homeowners, from the circuit at the panel to the charger on the wall.

A standard wall outlet will technically charge a car, extremely slowly. A dedicated circuit is what makes home charging actually practical, and it needs to be sized, run, and protected correctly for the equipment you are using.

What an Installation Includes

Capacity Comes First

The most common surprise with EV chargers is the panel. A charging circuit is a substantial continuous load, and plenty of older Brooklyn homes are already close to their limit before anyone adds a car to the equation. We check that first, because finding out afterward is expensive.

If your panel does not have room, that does not mean you cannot charge at home. It means a panel or service upgrade comes first, and we handle that as well. Either way you will know the full scope before any work begins rather than partway through.
